This Auction is for 1 headset of the Color and Size listed in the Title. The Crown Race in the Photos is not the one your getting, You will get a similar one in silver that is the 26.4mm or 1 1/32"size. If your using a Newer Fork Check our ebay store for our Cruiser Bicycle Headset 1" it will have the 27mm Crown Race that's common to newer forks. The 26.4mm or 1 1/32"size is more common to Vintage Bikes. The Bottom Crown Race is 26.4mm or 1 1/32"and fits Vintage Schwinn Blade& Springer Forks and Other forks with a 26.4mm or 1 1/32" Fork Crown Race Lip. The bearings are 15 x 3/16" ball retainers. Being the Bigger size it works on all applications and just has a gap on smaller applications. The top Nut has a 22.2mm or 7/8" opening for stems of that size( the fork must also have the 22.2mm or 7/8" opening for the stem to work) 22.2mm or 7/8" is the larger of the 2 sizes,it is common to Newer Bikes 1980- Newer and Vintage Schwinn Bikes before 1965. In rare cases some old bikes may of seen too much excessive use and the head tube is stretched, making the cups a loose fit, in that event a shim may be needed for a tight fit. Does not work with Vintage Schwinn Bikes with 3 piece cranks and Lugged Frames.
